Hands On Blackberry 6 Running on the 9670 Clamshell

Here's something everybody is the Blackberry world has been waiting on.  OS 6.0 in action running on a real device, and our buddy @cellguru has given us just that.  His tipster sent in a video of Blackberry 6 running on the Blackberry 9670 Clamshell and goes through parts of the OS on the phone.  The video isn't the best quality, but it is the first look at OS 6 in action on a device.  From what I can tell, it looks great, and is a lot like that we saw on the promo video from WES 2010.  Check out the video and let us know what you think in the comments!

                              [Youtube Link For Mobile Viewing]

Although this isn't an in-depth look at the the BlackBerry 9800 slider, this is the 1st time it has been caught on video.  BGR is responsible for posting this video and letting the world get a closer look at one of RIMs upcoming devices.  Hopefully this is just the first of many videos that will surface in the near future because I'd really like to see some footage of OS 6 in action.

BlackBerry Clamshell 9670 Gets More Face Time; Again Shows Off OS 6

Our friends over at The Cellular Guru got their hands on a new photo showing the BlackBerry Clamshell 9670 running BlackBerry 6. It is debatable on whether this device will ever see the light of day. It definitely is not the most beautiful device we've seen, nor is its form factor anything fresh. However, if you know RIM, then it wouldn't surprise us to see this device be released.

Are you a fan of the 9670? Or do you think it's a "your 2000 and late" design?

BlackBerry Pearl 9100 / 9105 OS 5.0.0.676 Leaked

Research In Motion really seems to want the Pearl 9100 / 9105 to be a stellar device once released. Thus, the reason we keep seeing so many OS releases for this device. So far .676 is the highest build around. If you have this device or you're a hybrid builder, you'll find this OS to your liking.

Spy Shots Show BlackBerry Slider Running OS 6.0

We were sent new spy shots of the BlackBerry Slider with it appearing to be running BlackBerry 6. At first we thought these could have been fake images, but after thoroughly examining them we're pretty sure they are real. These are definitely some of the ugliest spy shots we've seen, but they do show a living device.

BlackBerry Tablet or Swipe Gesture Patent?

We've uncovered a patent filed on April 1, 2010 showing what could be a tablet design touch-screen device. The patent is about a soft-key escape button. The patent describes how you could hold your finger for a period of time or do a swipe gesture to bring up the close button on an application or window.

RIM Working On New BlackBerry Conference Call Interface?

It is typical for us to do patent hunting, for the simple fact that it can sometimes help give insight into possible upcoming new features, devices, etc. This time we found a patent re-filed on April 29, 2010 for conference calls interface. It takes the single image you have picked for each contact and displays it as an avatar along with their name and phone number while on a conference call.

GMail Two-Way Sync Now Working on BIS?

We had a few people notify us through Twitter last night that a few features in GMail had started to sync with their BlackBerrys. At first we weren't so sure how this could be happening, with reports on it not releasing until BIS versions 3.3-3.4. While some report it to be working well, not everyone is getting so lucky. Some people are reporting either only half syncing capabilities or nothing at all. Is it working for you? have you noticed your sent messages from the web version syncing with your BlackBerry?

BlackBerry Curve 8530 OS 5.0.0.654 Leaked

Alpha TweetPhoto 5.0 App Leaked

*UPDATE* TweetPhoto has given us an updated version of the alpha version of TweetPhoto. The new version (still only for devices on OS 5.0) addresses previous bugs/glitches in the originally leaked version. To download the updated version of TweetPhoto, please click here from your BlackBerry.

There has been a lot of speculation over what this app will be like, and it seems they are on the right track. TweetPhoto released their app to a closed beta group sometime last week and this apparently is the an update to it. Well TheBerryFreak has leaked it for the public.

Keep in mind, this app is in very early and will probably have some bugs/glitches. As we said it is in Alpha stage and we have heard they have brought in a new guy to help speed up the developmental stage, so try at your own risk. Also, this app is only for BlackBerry 5.0 Software, so do not download if you have an older BlackBerry with 4.5/6.
