Research In Motion Working on BlackBerrys with External Antennas?


One of our connects dropped us this image of a BlackBerry Pearl 9100 with an external antenna. Apparently, there are a lot of devices in Waterloo, Canada (RIM's headquarters) that have these bands around them with a hole broken open at the internals of the antenna.

UberTwitter Updated to v0.985


UberTwitter has been working diligently on their Twitter app for BlackBerry. UberTwitter has officially been updated to v0.985 to correct many of the lagging and other bugs experience by users.

It is generally a very good sign to see OS' drop for devices that have yet to be released. We typically see these devices launch up to a month or more after an OS has been dropped. While, we agree this isn't useful for most, we're sure the hybrid builders or those with a 9670 will enjoy it.

BlackBerry Bold 9650 Coming Soon to MTS


In a recent flyer for the Canadian carrier, MTS, it shows the BlackBerry Bold 9650 as "Coming Soon". It is good to see that this device hasn't been killed off just yet.

BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6 Officially Released


It looks as though we heard correctly, as BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6 has officially released. Currently only the PC version has been released and unfortunately Mac users are still left behind (never understood why).

BlackBerry Internet Service 3.2 Details Leaked


So far the new e-mail features in BIS have been slowly upgraded. We've heard we won't be getting all the necessary e-mail client and ability to erase BIS accounts until BIS 3.4 is rolled out. Nevertheless, here are the leaked details for BIS 3.2, after the break.

BlackBerry 'BlackPad' Tablet to be Manufactured by Quanta; 8 Million Produced by 2011?


There is apparently new evidence to suggest that the BlackBerry 'BlackPad' tablet is getting manufactured by Quanta. Initially, it is being said that 2 million BlackPad units will be produced.

RIM Officially Announces the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300


It wasn't very long from leak to officially announcement of the new Curve 3G 9300. This device will be releasing with OS 5, but based on carrier testing could see OS 6. T-Mobile has already issued an official statement saying they will be supporting OS 6. Things are looking good for anyone who might be upgrading to  the Curve 3G 9300 when it comes out on T-Mobile and possibly Verizon.
