Here comes a new OS for the BlackBerry Curve 9300. While its not quite OS 6 it is OS 5.0.0.962, which is a decent step up from the last version OS 5.0.0.912. Our guess is that .962 will be the Curve 9300's last OS 5 package, but another one may sneak in before OS 6.

It has felt like an eternity for any OS love for those with a BlackBerry Bold 9700. Now OS 5.0.0.938 has dropped, which is a fairly decent step up from the last OS 5.0.0.862! We've also been told that this could possibly be the last OS 5 release before we see OS 6 for the 9700.

DataViz Not Fully Acquired by RIM; Still Plan to Work on iPhone and Android

There were recently rumors that Research In Motion had acquired the Docs To Go company, DataViz. It was also being said that DataViz was ending development for WebOS and possibly other platforms so as to solely focus on BlackBerry. RIM did officially announce that they had acquired DataViz. However, as we now see it was only a partial acquisition.

We saw that there were parts for a red and white housing for the Torch 9800. It was just a matter of when and what carrier would offer the colored versions of the Torch. It appears that AT&T will indeed offer new colors of the Torch.

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 should be launching very soon on Vodafone UK. Pre-orders for the Torch will be starting for an end of Septemeber release. Vodafone UK has released a TV commercial, while doesn't directly market the Torch 9800, it is the first one to show the device. Video after the break.

It was about a week ago that we saw OS 6.0.0.214 leak for the BlackBerry Torch 9800. Now today we get a new one by way of OS 6.0.0.225! No word on how it is or what may have been added or changed.
