Carbonite Releases BlackBerry App

The popular computer data backup software, Carbonite, is coming to a BlackBerry near you. The BlackBerry Carbonite app will have a very similar interface as the computer version. This should allow for an easy transition for current users.

"Many Carbonite subscribers are small businesses who use the standard Carbonite product or Carbonite Pro, which we debuted earlier this year," says company CEO and co-founder David Friend. "Many of these business users rely on their BlackBerry smartphones and now will not only be able to access e-mail and the Web, but also all of their invaluable files they have backed up."



You will be able to view all of your backed up files and will even be able to view PDFs, images, audio, word docs, excel docs, and video files. You will even be able to e-mail your files from your BlackBerry. 


The Carbonite app supports BlackBerry smartphones running OS 4.6.1 and with a screen resolution of 240 x 320 and higher, including the BlackBerry Bold 9000, BlackBerry Flip 8230, BlackBerry Curve 8300 Series, BlackBerry Curve 8500 Series, BlackBerry Curve 8900 Series, and BlackBerry Tour 8600 Series.
