It was unofficially announced today that the launch date for the Blackberry Bold (Onyx) 9700 to T-Mobile will be November 11th 2009.
1. If you did not already, install 5.0.0.191 onto your computer. - AFTER INSTALL, REMOVE QUINCY/RIM TOOLS - Click here to download 5.0.0.191
2. Run the installer for the 5.0.0.230.
3. You will want to select the 5.0.0.191 folder as the destination folder to write to. This destination may be different for some but the majority will be located at :
c:\program files\common files\research in motion\shared\loader files\9530AMEA_v5.0.0.191_p4.2.0.43
4. Then hit next and it will 'confirm' your destination folder, then you hit next and the files will be copied into that folder.
5. Then run Apploader and you are done! I did notice that the "connecting to device" phase took a while.
It has been confirmed by our "ninja" that Verizon has approved OS 5.0.0.212 for the Storm 2. There may be a little few tweaks that RIM will enhance but .212 has been approved. Now that we know which OS will be used with the Storm 2, when is Verizon planning on releasing this phone? According to our ninja, they want to get it out by the end of September or the third week in October at the latest. Don't you think Verizon would hype this up and/or have some advertisements about it? Our Ninja informed us that they are not wanting to make the same mistake as they did last year with the 1st Storm. Hype it up and have the phone get a lot of negative feedback and have it be a flop. So hopefully with in 30 days, we will be seeing the Storm 2!!I'm really excited about this device. Our insider told us the first week of October, so we're sticking with this date. Hope it arrives soon, we're getting impatient.
It will be pretty interesting to see the next line-up of Blackberry devices. We already know of a few other codenames (i.e. Blackhawk) and when others get leaked we will be sure to let you know.1) Blackberry Essex:
It's a 3G/CDMA/WiFi new version of the already released Blackberry Tour. Aside from the WiFi it comes with a Trackpad and a little "extra surprise" that I bet you'll love.
2) Blackberry 9100 A.K.A. Striker:
This one is a 3G + Trackpad blackberry pearl. Aside from those two new and nice new features, its slimmer than the upcoming 9700 (Bold 2) which will give the phone that sexier look.
3) Blackberry Curve 8530:
Just like the already released 8520, this one is just a curve, but for CDMA carriers. Expect it to be announced really soon.
That's it for now, and unfortunately I don't have any pictures of them, but I'm working on it. As soon as I get pics, you guys will be the first ones to know.
Also, rumor has it that RIM is releasing 16 new phones in 2010.
