At this year's GITEX (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition) we now get to hear more on the BlackBerry PlayBook from co-CEO Jim Balsillie. When the PlayBook was originally unveiled at this past DevCon 2010, some of the PlayBook's specs were still unknown. However, on some of the slides presented at GITEX, more spec info was announced.

Just the other day we saw the BlackBerry Desktop Manager 2.0 for Mac hit the BlackBerry Beta Zone. Many users were not able to download the new DM 2.0 for Mac since it was in a closed beta. However, someone has dropped it for the world and now every Mac user can enjoy it.

It has been a while since we last saw a leaked OS for the BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 and 9105. Now there is OS 5.0.0.921 that has leaked, which is a fairly decent step up from OS 5.0.0.884, but still isn't OS 6. Nevertheless, we imagine it shouldn't be too much longer until we see the Pearl rocking OS 6.
