App World 2.0 Video Shows Off New Features

An anticipated release for RIM is App World 2.0. Unfortunately not much coverage of the updated app has been available, well until now, thanks to Ealvnv.info. Here's a video showing off the new features included in App World 2.0 at the BlackBerry App World San Francisco event.

Summery of the features:

  • Split Top 25 Themes and Top 25 Apps
  • BlackBerry App World Barcode Scanning for easily grabbing apps by just taking a picture
  • More Billing Options

    • Credit cards
    • Carrier billing
  • BlackBerry ID – a new device independent user identification for downloading apps and easily switching devices.
Will this make App World a necessity on your BlackBerry? Comment with your opinion of the changes

Looks good, and looks alot smoother than the current version.
new top bar kinda mimics OS6 style to me
i do have one point though, top25 free apps, top25 paid apps, but free and paid themes mixed together? not so sure i agree with that choice, kinda devalues the paid themes imho

yeah makes sense, also im interested to see how it runs on lower devices.. it runs smooth on that one (looked like a 9700) but will it run good on me humbled 8330 :)
