There is apparently new evidence to suggest that the BlackBerry 'BlackPad' tablet is getting manufactured by Quanta. Initially, it is being said that 2 million BlackPad units will be produced.
These units are expected to be produced by September for the rumored November release date. A total of 8 million is expected by 2011. The BlackPad is expected to retail at $499 to directly compete with the iPad.
The BlackPad is said to have WiFi connectivity, bluetooth, front facing-camera, 9.7-inch screen, and possibly its own unique operating system.
If the above image is an authentic order list it seems as though RIM is gearing up to attack the tablet market. If the BlackPad is made right and it won't be like the (now dead) Palm Folio, will you buy a BlackPad?

Huh? Android?!!?! This is the first reference I see of the BlackPad getting Android. If it really is getting "its own unique operating system" (based on BlackBerry OS, I would suppose would make the most sense), why would it be listed as an Android device in this table?
Android????????? That's really odd!!!!!!!!!
I call fake. If not, whoever made this is woefully misinformed (ANDROID?)
Can.....not.....wait.....to.....buy.....a.......Blackpad. OS will be interesting. It will be interesting to see a Tablet oriented (I hope) to more than just the consumer market.
OOOH! I want one!
