BlackBerry Bold 9780 Hitting Best Buy Canada on November 9th


Earlier this past week we heard that the BlackBerry Bold 9780 was delayed on Bell and Virgin in Canada. However, Best Buy of Canada has announced that the Bold 9780 will be hitting store shelves on November 9th for all carriers, except TELUS.

RIM Adds to BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express Offering

Today, RIM announced the global availability of BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express for Lotus Domino. BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express is free software that wirelessly synchronizes BlackBerry smartphones with email, calendar, contacts, notes, tasks and more. Not only is it free, BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express works with most business or personal data plans that are available from carriers. It’s built using the same secure architecture as RIM’s market-leading BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

It was only a matter of time until a Torch 9800 OS popped up, as it had to follow suit with the 9700, 9300, 9100/9105, and the 9670. Now OS 6.0.0.337 has dropped for the Torch. No word on this build's performance, but it is an Asian package.

Leaked: BlackBerry Storm2 9550 OS 5.0.0.1015


The BlackBerry Storm2 was originally said to eventually get OS6. However, due to the touchscreen sucking up too much memory, OS6 did not perform very well. Therefore, it was decided by RIM to not pursue releasing OS6 on the Storm2. Nevertheless, we now have a strange build of OS 5.0.0.1015 that has dropped. We're not sure how much higher the next build will go or if we may see builds of 5.0.1.x in the future.

Leaked: BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 & 9105 OS 6.0.0.344


And now OS6 love has reached every older support BlackBerry, as OS 6.0.0.344 has dropped for the Pearl 3G 9100 and 9105. It should make things more interesting now that each able BlackBerry device has a leaked OS6 build. Only time will tell if they are made official.

RIM Introduces New BlackBerry Bold 9780 Smartphone


It is finally that time, when rumor and speculation are put to rest. Today, Research In Motion (RIM) announced the BlackBerry Bold 9780. The Bold 9780 is the newest member of the Bold family, featuring BlackBerry 6, 512MB RAM, and a 5MP camera.

Now there is OS 5.0.0.921 that has leaked, which is a fairly decent step up from OS 5.0.0.884, but still isn't OS 6. Nevertheless, we imagine it shouldn't be too much longer until we see the Pearl rocking OS 6.
