Just the other day, Research In Motion officially announced the BlackBerry Bold 9780. A few carriers (Telus, T-Mobile, and Rogers) also announced they would be carrying the device. Now Rogers stores have started to receive their Bold 9780 dummy units.

Back in mid-September we learned that AT&T might be dishing out some Holiday goodness with a BlackBerry Torch in red and white color. We saw earlier that there were red and white housing for the Torch, but it wasn't certain if the parts were OEM or generic. Now, AT&T has confirmed this to be true.

Just the other day OS 6.0.0.284 was spotted for the BlackBerry Torch 9800. As with most spotted OS', there wasn't a leak and no further information. One of our connects let us know that OS 6.0.0.284 may be the next official build for the Torch.

Not too long ago at the Gartner Symposium, Research In Motion placed the BlackBerry PlayBook on display. Of course, similar to DevCon 2010, the PlayBook's were behind a thick plastic wall so viewers could not handle the device.

It doesn't appear that the BlackBerry Storm 9530 is dead just yet. OS 5.0.0.797 was the last leaked OS we saw drop. Now OS 5.0.0.871 is here for all Storm 9530 users to rejoice and upgrade too. It isn't OS 6, but it is better than nothing, right?

So far we've only known a few carriers (Vodafone, Virgin, etc.) to be releasing the BlackBerry Bold 9780. Now we've got confirmation that the Bold 9780 will also release on Bell Mobility.

It seems that Sprint's exclusivity on the BlackBerry Style 9670 may not be very long, if the above screenshot of a promo flyer is correct. Although, Sprint may have an exclusive deal for national carriers, whereas US Cellular is a regional carrier.
