BlackBerry Curve 8910 Officially Unveiled by China Mobile

Oh look it has actually happened. The official announcement of the release for the BlackBerry Curve 8910 aka Atlas. It was thought for some time that the Atlas was a dead device and wouldn't see birth. However, we heard different with the full specs leaked back in January of 2010.

While not the newest OS there is for the BlackBerry Bold 9700, any one on AT&T can update to OS 5.0.0.602! If you're interested in a much higher build, there is OS 5.0.0.743 that was leaked and later officially released by Optus Mobile and Rogers.

6 New BlackBerry Devices Before The End of 2010?

It's always interesting to see what an analyst has to say about the product roadmap of a company. According to RBC analyst Mike Abramsky, we should see at least 6 new BlackBerry devices before the end of 2010. This leaves RIM only 6 more months to roll out each device.

Trillian for BlackBerry Updated to Beta 1.0 build 215; Fixes Some Reported Bugs

The beta app of Trillian for BlackBerry was well received when it first released. However, it was stricken with a few bugs, which is common in an app when in beta. Cerulean Studios, developers of Trillian, are staying on top of all the feedback they've been receiving and they're making sure they fix all the known bugs.

RIM has recently filed a patent that will prioritize certain aspects of a webpage. This method, in conjunction with the previous patent we saw about using proxy servers, should help to speed up the load times of webpages.

It is unfortunate, but Verizon Wireless is notorious for pushing junk quick launch apps to BlackBerrys and other devices on the network. Some of you may remember the huge uproar that was started when Verizon forced all BlackBerry native browsers to only use Bing as the search provider.

Bold 9800 Slider Getting Its Name Changed to BlackBerry Torch?

Just when you thought the BlackBerry 9800 Slider was in fact going to be apart of the Bold family, it actually might not. The 9800 Slider is the first BlackBerry to include a touch-screen and a full qwerty keyboard that happens to slide-out. We can see why RIM would add the 9800 to the Bold family for marketing purposes, given how well accepted the Bold-line has been. However, RIM may be planning on putting the 9800 in its own family as the BlackBerry Torch.

Are you apart of the BlackBerry Beta Zone? Now is a good time to enroll if you're not! The BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.1 just became available for download to all Beta Zone members. The program was only for a select few testers, which left many in the dust hunting for the acceptance notification.

Late last night we heard that Verizon would be pushing out OS 5.0.0.732 for the BlackBerry Tour 9630, just like they did for its little brother, the 9650. Now for those who don't want to wait for the OTA upgrade to be pushed to your device, you're in luck.

It seems that Verizon is really starting to get on the ball about pushing out new OS'. Verizon maintains the strongest testing out of any carrier and therefore causes new devices and especially OS releases to be delayed. Luckily for the Tour 9630 users you just may be getting up to date with OS 5.0.0.732!

Earlier today we saw the BlackBerry Storm2 9520 get OS .713 made official. Now, to all the patiently waiting 9550 users they also get to indulge in the same OS love from TBayTel. Hopefully, this new OS will be a great step up for 9550 users, as we all know they've been due a good OS for awhile now.

The BlackBerry Curve 8910 aka Atlas has been one of the most odd devices we've seen. Said to be releasing on China Mobile (if it hasn't already), the 8910 has already hit the Developers resources for device simulators.

While the last OS release we saw for the BlackBerry Storm2 9520 was leaked, this device, along with its brother, 9550, haven't been, lately, getting much OS love. However, today all those 9520 looking to get in the .7xx range now have OS 5.0.0.713!
