BlackBerry Storm3 9570 Releasing in October on Verizon?

Supposedly a roadmap for Verizon Wireless has been leaked. Within this roadmap it lists a few upcoming devices for a mid-to-late October release and one of them is the Storm3 9570 and another the Curve 9330.

"Mid to late October is where it's supposed to get exciting, with a possible launch of the RIM BlackBerry Storm 3 9570. Interestingly, our source mentioned that the Storm 3 will run BB OS 6, but will still feature a Sure Press touchscreen. That would be strange, given the Torch has made the move to the far more proven capacitive tech. The other surprise for BlackBerry fans will be the new Curve 3 9330."
There has been a lot of speculation on whether the Storm3 will just be an "Odin Refresh" or if it will truly be a new device all together. Either way it will be interesting to see what the next Storm series device will be like.

What is this phone going to have.. SPECS? OS? android OS would be great!

this is taking to long to come out..
i have a storm 1 and i like certain things.. but i cant stand several things about ..
i really hope they fix the OS.. i shouldn't have to do a battery pull once a day in order to get my memory back..
i am really considering going to an android phone :(

Me too David, Exact feelings. Rim is taking too long. I like Blackberry 9800 and also would like to see a new version of the Storm touchscreen with the new OS6. If they don't come on with it, I swear I'm going Android. I'm trying to hold back. At least tell us what is coming. No need to keep it secret so we will know if we should wait. Ready to upgrade now.

what do people consider a 'refresh'? a minor update in that it'll just get a ram boost? or can this include getting a higher res screen, higher cpu ram etc whilst the physical looks remain the same?

either way, I'm hoping the storms get a bit of a remake when it comes to OS 6. I've been hearing rumours about it getting a new interface with OS 6 at its base... Or is this something for storm 4?

LMAO fiction can be fun.

Surepress is the best piece of tech ever to come to a BlackBerry and touch screen devices in general.

Ho hum. If the specs are what they've already released.. meh. Not sure I'm impressed at all. Upside is that when I called to inquire about it today, the CSR knew exactly what I was talking about and said they're even planning to 'reach out' to current Storm and Storm2 users and offer early upgrades to 'em.... we'll see. Not 100% certain I'd use an early upgrade to move to another Touchscreen BB.... Android devices are looking better and better every day.

i agree.. the only thing really holding back from going right now to get one is BBM .. and to see what the storm 3 is going to be... if it doesnt impress me then i am out..

I agree. I have been waiting to long for RIM to catch up with the rest. If they cant do it, I'm going Android. But what I want is a large screen, real qwerty with WiFi and OS 6.0

I've been a blackberry user for 10yrs but Storm 3 better have a 4.3" hi-res screen, 5 Megapixel Cam, 720p video recording, 1GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 802.11 b/g/n wifi. Otherwise I'm going Android as well.
