The BlackBerry Torch has been said by some to have sold poorly in its opening weekend, while others have said it is selling quite well. It has been reported that about 150,000 units were sold in the opening weekend.
This figure is not terribly low nor is it all too great. However, the Torch has made its way to the top on Amazon.com as the current #1 selling phone. Our guess is the $99.99 price tag is what has lured buyers into picking up the Torch on Amazon rather than in an AT&T store.
The "best selling cellphones with service" list is updated hourly. It will be interesting to see how long the Torch stays at the very top. So far the Torch is ranked #2 best seller out of all cellphones. You can check out the list by clicking here.
Thanks for the tip, Dave!

the 150k opening weekend. So that counts online sales?
The 150K is an estimate based on units on hand at AT&T store. Nothing has been made official.
I think AT&T service is very well for me and BlackBerry curve 9300 is best phone for me also.
