BlackBerry Torch Launch Called "Underwhelming" by Goldman Sachs

Despite the general hype with parties, TV commercials, and the mysterious monoliths of the BlackBerry Torch 9800, it has suffered an "underwhelming" launch, According to Goldman Sachs.

The firm says that all of the stores they called did not sell out of the BlackBerry Torch. They also added that most of the sales were upgrades from current BlackBerry users.

Goldman Sachs noted that there is still continued strength for Android devices such as Droid X and HTC EVO. The firm currently has RIMM stock listed as 'Sell'.

This is definitely not a good sign for RIM's BlackBerry, but you can hardly say you didn't see it coming. Check out our thoughts on the Torch 9800 in our review here.
