Earlier this week we did see the first 5 screenshots of the upcoming BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6.0 from Research In Motion's 'Inside BlackBerry' blog. We've now been sent a few additional images of DM6 that show a few of the new features and user interface.

It has been a little while since we last saw any kind of OS update for the BlackBerry Bold 9650. Now Alltel users specifically are getting their 9650's updated to OS 5.0.0.810, but for those not on Alltel simply delete the vendor.xml file before loading.

In a nutshell, for those who may still be in the dark, Apple claimed that by "death gripping" a phone its signal would drastically diminish, much like the new iPhone 4 does due to its poor antenna radio design.

The BlackBerry Blog released information that BlackBerry Desktop Manager 6 will be coming to BlackBerry Beta Zone in a limited beta. They also released some pictures of the new software and to say the least it is a complete UI overhaul. Driphter.com, a known hybrid maker, has ended the leaked OS drought. This morning they released 5.0.0.822 for the BlackBerry Bold 9000. This is the first .8XX OS we’ve seen, so we’re grateful for Driphter to release it. If you have a 9000 hit the link for the OS.

According to a “reliable informant”, Verizon was working on some BlackBerry 6 builds for the 9550 Storm 2, but currently have ceased. It is being said that it was possible that Verizon ran into problems making the OS compatible with the device.

Apparently what will become know as the official specs of the soon-to-be released Curve 3G (aka Kepler 9300) have been leaked. As most predicted and was rumored, there is not too much of a jump from the 8500 series.

Yesterday, tech site VentureBeat reported that according to BlackBerry Partners Fund’s John Albright, the BlackBerry 9800 (aka the Slider) will hit the market August 15 on AT&T. This device was sort of a mystery to all BB addicts because it was unmarked by a carrier (except in the video where it showed AT&T), had BlackBerry 6 running fully, and even still has no name.

App World users be ready for a huge app to hit the Test Center. BlackBerryOS reported BlackBerry Messenger v5.0.1.32 coming to the Center in BlackBerry App World. The version of BBM was just recently released to the BlackBerry Beta Zone, but surprisingly the sudden public release means RIM plans on releasing 5.0.1.32 to the public.
